Soon after Christopher’s passing a number of his friends searched for ways to keep his memory alive. Because a large number of Christophers friends were golfers, the idea of having a golf tournament to raise money for cancer research seemied like a great idea. The only downside was that Christopher hated golf, but we all knew that he would appreciate the irony.
The Annual Golf Tournament has now grown into a large event held every year at the Chestatee Golf Club in Dawsonville, GA. Along with the golfing a raffle of various items is held and one or more of the doctors from Emory Winship Cancer Institute addresses the group with the research progress that is made every year.
